One of our four pillars of sustainability is Collaboration: We believe that by working together and creating an united front with the rescue community, we can create significant and sustainable change towards improving animal welfare in BC. Our Guardian Angel Program is intended to bring together the community of qualified animal welfare and rescue organizations, and support their individual rescue and rehabilitation efforts, as well as to promote partnerships that can increase our collective capacity to save more lives.

The Victoria Humane Society and Crooked Leg Ranch have a shared vision, and like us, believe that by working together no adoptable animal would die because of a lack of resources and/or space. Over the past few months, several litters of puppies have been transferred from Quensel to Victoria and in the coming weeks approximately 20 more dogs and puppies will be transported to Victoria. Through our Guardian Angel Program we are able to support this work through our Animal Transport and Veterinary Care Grant Funding, and are pleased to provide a $2,000 grant.

As the year comes to an end, it is a good time to reflect on the giving the matters most. This year, consider giving to animals. Either directly to an animal rescue organization, such as Victoria Humane Society or Crooked Leg Ranch and/or to us to help us continue to build a strong foundation for these vital groups to continue their good work.
