Poppy is an 11 year old Pug, and her guardian is on disability income assistance, living with a brain injury. We were contacted by his brother on his behalf, as they were concerned that Poppy was suffering from a skin infection and he did not have the resources to take her to see a veterinarian.

She was very good when Dr. Piano at Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital examined her and prescribed some antibiotics. To help make treatment easier for her, she was given an injectable antibiotic that lasts for two weeks in her system. She was also sent home with a topical ointment to help relieve the itch. If her skin was left untreated it would progressively get worse and spread from her hind legs to her stomach and further. But thanks to our donors, she is on her way back to being a happy healthy sweet little girl.
