Dior and her many angels

The purpose of the Guardian Angel program is to offer services, initiatives, and funding opportunities to support qualified volunteer-run animal welfare and rescue charities in British Columbia. Our Veterinary Care grants provide funding for veterinary procedures for animals in the care of these rescue organizations. These organizations who work so hard to provide life saving care to animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or just forgotten, can only do as much as their limited resources allow them to do. Our hope is that we can help to alleviate some of the financial burden, and create more sustainable support over the long term.

Dior, is 25 years old and is blessed to live with Janice at Hearts on Noses,a Mini Pig Sanctuary. When Dior became ill her diagnosis was a bit of a mystery, but ultimately she was diagnosed with pleurisy. The costs of repeat veterinarian visits and medication were an additional burden to the daily costs of running the sanctuary, and we were happy to provide a $1,000 grant.

Today, Dior is doing better, and we hope has a few more good years left. Each day the good folks at Hearts on Noses enjoy the time they have with Dior.
